Mr. Adam D. Plunk

Adam has a general business and corporate law practice, representing both emerging and established companies in a variety of corporate matters including asset protection, corporate and partnership governance, venture capital financing's, mergers and acquisitions, other business combinations, public and private debt and equity financing transactions and strategic relationship transactions. Adam regularly advises clients on corporate governance matters, asset protection options, SEC related transactions, federal and state trademark and copyright filings and prosecution, real estate transactions, and executive employment and compensation matters.

Court Smith

Court Smith focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and transactions and represents a variety of clients including corporate and individual restaurant proprietors in the food service industry and retail proprietors. Mr. Smith regularly appears in courts across the State of Texas and handles both trial and appellate matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Smith was a partner at Kilpatrick & Townsend, LLP and Crouch & Ramey, LLP, both of which are litigation law firms based in Dallas, Texas, where his practice included commercial litigation and appeals, and food service law. He has served as the outside litigation counsel for a 650-unit restaurant chain for more than fifteen years and he has successfully defended restaurants against complex international franchise litigation, personal injury lawsuits, and products liability claims. Mr. Smith has also assisted his clients in corporate and franchise structuring, negotiation of contracts and leases, and organizational succession planning. While attending law school, Mr. Smith was a recipient of the Dean’s Award for Highest Achievement in Insurance Law, a member of Teaching Quizmasters, and a member of The Review of Litigation.

Mr. Smith was recognized as a Texas "Rising Star" in 2013 and the six years immediately preceding by Texas Monthly and Law & Politics magazines. I am an attorney and certified public accountant with a focus in business transactional law, from consulting with my clients regarding formation of an entity that would best suit their needs to planning for a proper succession of the business in addressing the potential estate tax ramifications. My experience as a CPA allows me to not only see the basic legalities of a proposed business structure, but, I can anticipate how it will affect my clients' tax liabilities, both business and personal.
